The CLC World Foundation has donated more than 200 kilos of sanitary material to the Ukrainian people, thanks to the collaboration between pharmacies and individuals from Linares (Jaén).  A contribution that is in addition to the one made at the beginning of this month when the Mijeña organisation delivered 1,600 kilos of food and hygiene products to the same cause.

The collection includes medicines and medical supplies that will be sent to Ukrainian refugees. Hernán Lara, ambassador of the CLC World Foundation, explained: “We are always willing to collaborate. We have obtained sanitary materials. This has been an extraordinary donation from the pharmacists of Linares and one of the parishes of that city that has helped us collect it.”

For its part, the City Council of Mijas has paid tribute to this meaningful gesture of solidarity. The Councilor for Employment Development, Laura Moreno, highlighted this by stating: “What we are doing is an appeal to all those companies that can collaborate with making contributions, either in food or in sanitary material as CLC has done. We can only thank the Foundation for its commitment to the consistory and to the Ukrainian people.”

In Mijas, the three donation collection points are still active, but it is suggested that many of the agencies working in Ukraine now prefer small economic donations so that they can deal with the problems they face more quickly.
