The CLC World Foundation has donated 1,600 kilos of food and hygiene products to the Ukrainian people through one of the three spaces set up by the City Council of Mijas, El Cortijo Don Elías.

The ambassador of the Foundation, Hernán Lara, said this massive contribution involved 1,300 kilos of non-perishable food and between 200-300 kilos of hygiene products, adding: “We are also in the process of coordinating the distribution of medical material to Ukraine.”

Mayor of the city, Josele González, wanted to thank the organisation for always being available to support the needs of Mijas and that, on this occasion, has shown its solidarity with a cause that transcends our borders.

González also conveyed a message of reassurance to all those who are thinking of making contributions and who are not sure that they will reach their destination: “The three official points available to the City Council are perfectly coordinated with each other and with the families of the people who need the material, so this is the safest way to ensure that these donations reach those who need them”.
