Mijas, 26th March 2021.- Fundación CLC World Foundation DOnated five methacrylate protection screens to the Association of Relatives and People with Mental Illness of the Costa del Sol (Afesol).

The award ceremony was attended by the president of the Foundation, Juan Miguel Marcos, accompanied by the president of Afesol, Concha Cuevas, and the councillor for Social Services of the Mijas town hall, Hipólito Zapico.

The Fundación president stressed “who better than us to know about the need for these screens for customer treatment as over the past months, we have had to develop a similar process within our ‘SafeHands’ programme. When they explained to us Afesol’s need, it seemed like an essential moment to help.”

Cuevas expressed his gratitude to Fundación CLC World for the screen donation. “From here we want to thank you for assistance you always have for us. As you well know, we work with people with mental health problems and their families and other people, so it is essential to have these screens.”.

The mayor of Social Services referred to the incredible social function that Afesol performs. “If they didn’t do it, I don’t know who would because there isn’t a structure large enough to cover the work they do. All of this requires financial resources that are not always available or are lacking or scarce, so the collaboration of entities like CLC World and the City Council, even if it does not have direct involvement, is essential for this work to continue to be carried out.”
