March 3, 2021 – The foundation’s aim has always been to help those most in need. The current health and economic crisis is a time when being able to provide that assistance is even more important. That is why Fundación CLC World donated 4,000 kilos of food for distribution among the disadvantaged families in Mijas.

The delivery took place at the Municipal Food Bank, and representatives of the Mijas foundation together with the councillor for Social Services of the Mijas town hall, Hipólito Zapico, and volunteers from the Red Cross attended.

President of Fundación CLC World, Juan Miguel Marcos, spoke of the organisation’s pride in knowing that more than 800 families will benefit from this donation. “The products delivered are somewhat different from those the Mijas Food Bank usually receives. Such as: soft drinks, juices, smoothies, jams, as well as baby food and baby milk, among others. Some items that can be used by families who really need it.”

The mayor of Mijas thanked the foundation’s gesture, always demonstrating its social responsibility with citizens and especially within the municipality.

María del Mar Pradas, Food and Warehouse reference of the Red Cross, the entity in charge of distributing the contributions of the Food Bank, also wanted to show her appreciation for this initiative. “Users are used to receiving basic food and these latest bags have filled them with joy,” she highlighted.
