Mijas, 11th April 2019.- CLC World naturally renews its bed linen so guests can enjoy a high quality experience when staying at their resorts. Fundación CLC World then passes the old linen to local charities. “The material is in very good condition and it is worth recycling and giving it a second use”, said Hernan Lara, Fundación ambassador.
Cáritas, Afesol and Cruz Roja are some of the associations that have benefited by this initiative. The latter has reported that these items will be included in its wardrobe service which provides clothes, linen and footwear to the most deprived population, such as “families in a situation of extreme vulnerability, persons living in the streets and any other group or association requiring such aid”, Ana Fernández, Cruz Roja Mijas social worker, explained. María del Mar Ramos, a Cáritas volunteer, added that she is “very pleased Fundación CLC World remembers us and the people most in need”.
Mijas Councillor for Social Welfare, Mari Carmen Carmona, was also present when the items were handed over, recognising Fundación CLC World’s involvement in the social activity of the town. “Public administrations are sometimes very limited by bureaucracy, but luckily we can count on the support of large entities like this, which always lends us a hand and are there when needed.”
