Mijas, 21st December 2018- A cheque for €3,500, raised by Fundación CLC World, has helped to feed the hungry and homeless in Málaga by paying for 2,000 tortillas.

The annual initiative to help some of the most underprivileged in the region, is organised by Málaga’s Angels of the Night charity and took place on Christmas Eve.

Its President, Antonio Meléndez, said they were not only trying to feed people who are homeless and living rough.

“There are many people on the streets who need help but with the economic crisis there are many who do not have enough money to put food on the table once they have paid all their bills.”

The initiative, entitled The Big Handout, included the 2,000 tortillas along with other basic foods, hygiene products and Christmas sweets.

The cheque was handed over by the President of Fundación CLC World, Juan Miguel Marcos (Curro), who said: “We have been working together with this charity for a few years now and we want to support the help they give to some of those who are struggling in our communities.”
