Mijas, 13th July 2018- Fundación CLC World has donated €4,000 euros to the Ronald McDonald House in Málaga, which will be used to improve the welfare of sick children and their families.

The presentation ceremony was attended by representatives of Fundación CLC World, accompanied by the President of Málaga’s Ronald McDonald House, Rafael Castaño, its Manager, Vicente Moros, as well as political and civic figures from Málaga and Mijas.

To help the Ronald McDonald House initiative, Fundación CLC World launched its own campaign last May, which was attended by volunteers, ambassadors, employees and guests. This charity occasion included fundraising events such as raffles, foam parties and as a finishing touch, everyone attending enjoyed a star performance from Ronald McDonald himself. Thanks to this important event, €2,000 euros was raised and with the Fundación matching this amount, a total of €4,000 was raised.

Rafael Castaño, welcomed the donation, saying: “I am very proud to receive this cheque, especially as it was your employees who contributed part of this amount. The funds will cover expenses for the treatment and accommodation of up to 14 young cancer patients and their families.”

Juan Miguel Marcos, President of Fundación CLC World, said that by sponsoring the Ronald McDonald 6th House Opening, “Fundacion CLC World will be helping many groups and individuals in need on the Costa del Sol and Tenerife, but it is children who will always have a very important place in our social welfare initiatives.”

A child’s illness is traumatic enough for the whole family especially when that family needs to uproot and spend prolonged periods away from home so that they can offer their child the best possible treatment. This situation is compounded by fear, despair and worry about the financial implications this may entail. Being able to give families back the warmth and support of a “home away from home” is the main mission of the Ronald McDonald’s House in Malaga.
